Reason Types are the specific reason for posting a transportation alert. The reason gives the user details as to what caused the problem with the route. A default list of reasons will be loaded with BusPlanner Web, but users can customize this list as needed. Reason types also need a description to function properly. Types specified on this page will appear in the Reason dropdown on the Message Manager page.
The Reason Type Translations are, by default, the English and French translation of the Reason Types on the BusPlanner Web site. One language is the default language – normally English – which is called the “auto” translation. All Reason Types need an English, French, and auto translation to be valid. The auto translation will appear as the site’s default translation, unless the user’s computer is set specifically to English or French. To add more languages and translations to BusPlanner Web, see the Translations section of the manual.
To add a new Reason Type: 1.Click Add and type in the Reason Type you want to create. 2.Fill in all the Reason Type Translations by clicking the green A button beside the newly added Reason Type Note: The Reason Type translation character limit is 200 characters. |
To edit an existing Reason Type: 1.Beside an existing Reason Type, you can click on 'Edit' to make changes to it, or click on 'Delete' to remove it from the system. To edit the translations, click and click save. 2.You can also click on 'Show All' to view all available Reason Types. This table will appear at the bottom of the page. |
